Dr. Geisler told me that there is a version of 12 Points that Show Christianity is True coming out soon which has been adapted for teenagers. I don’t know when it will come out, however. I happen to have a 12 year old daughter. She’s reading The Case for Christ by Strobel presently and able to make sense of a fair amount of it. I might try this version of 12 Points out on her when she’s fifteen. But I’m already trying to instill into her the basic flow of the book. I think the real brilliance here is how Dr. Geisler builds a foundation and then builds carefully on that layer by layer to create something solid. When I was a teenager I read Evidence that Demands a Verdict Volume I, was impacted by it, but when I reached college found that my faith didn’t have a good foundation. 12 Points would have been a better choice for me. Interestingly, when Evidence that Demands a Verdict Volumes 1 and 2 were combined and updated in 1999 as The New Evidence that Demands a Verdict, Dr. Geisler and some of his graduate students contributed to the book and filled in some of the gaps, making it more like the 12 points structure.
